Library Staff

Have you ever wondered how many members of staff actually work in the
Library? The answer is 16. Other than the Librarian, there are 4 professional
librarians, each responsible for a specific area of library work: Cataloguing, Reader Services, Systems and Post-graduate Education. There is a technician who is responsible for all AV equipment and conversion of media. Other members of staff carry the titles of Library Assistants, and they are attached to different sections but all of them are on shift working at the Circulation Counter and the Reference Desk.

The Brand New WiseSearch 5 電子剪報嶄新平台

The newly designed interface has just been launched. New features include: Company Search (公司搜索), Content Source Categories (媒體來源分頪), Refine Search (在結果中搜索)and Articles on the Same News Page(同頁之其他新
聞顯示).

The new interface will completely replace the current version on 1 May. However, between 21 March and 30 April, you can switch back to the current version of WiseSearch whenever you have needs.

New Journal Title

Muse = 瞄
Muse is a new bilingual magazine which first issue came out in February 2007. Muse aims to be an in-depth cultural magazine looking at Hong Kong’s
diverse artistic and cultural scenes.

New Online Database

Film & Television Literature Index (FTLI) is a comprehensive bibliographic database covering more than 300 journal and magazine titles for film and television literature. Subjects include film and television theory, preservation and restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews. The database replaced the printed Film Literature Index which the library has been subscribing since 1985.
