RefWorks is an online referencing tool that helps you to store and organize your references you have found from library catalogue, online databases and other sources.  It saves you time in formatting your reference list in different styles of referencing such as APA, MLA, Chicago and more.

The Library has recently received a lot of enquiries regarding the use of RefWorks. To make it easier for users to log in on campus and off campus, a webpage with simple login instructions has been added. Whether you are accessing from the Library webpage or the Library System, you will be directed to this page before accessing RefWorks. There are 2 major concerns with the use of RefWorks:

1. For Off Campus User, a ‘Group Code’ is required for login and this can be found under “Logins for Databases” on the Library page on the Intranet.
2. To set up an account, you are required to use the email address.

RefWorks on trial

RefWorks is an online bibliographic tool, helping you to maintain a web-based list of books, journal articles, web pages and other resources you consulted. It is especially useful when you are writing a research paper, the software can then take care of formatting your citations and bibliography in the style of your choice such as APA, MLA, Chicago and more. The trial will run until 5 July 2008 and your feedback is welcome.
