Update of AudioMiner Content

The Library has recently acquired 1,500 Chinese New Year production music tracks, equivalent to 35 CDs.  You now have a better selection on different styles of arrangements like Chinese ensembles, solo instruments, piano, xylophone and guitar, etc.  With these new additions, the total number of production music has increased to 45,000 tracks. Through AudioMiner (http://sound.hkapa.edu), you can retrieve and download selected production music and sound effects files.  However due to licensing agreement, access is limited within Academy campus and Béthanie campus only.

AudioMiner – Ready for Use

AudioMiner – the new audio resources portal has replaced the old sound retrieval system (http://sound.hkapa.edu)  from 12:00 noon on  25 February 2013 (Mon).

AudioMiner provides access to 282,000 sound effect files and 44,000 production music tracks.  Members of the Academy are welcome to search, sample and download audio files for synchronization into your work for educational use.

A series of workshops introducing you to the use of AudioMiner has been scheduled as follows:

New Sound Effect Libraries

More sound effects have been added to the Digital Audio Collection. The Library has recently acquired 4 new sound effects libraries, equivalent to 60 CDs. With this new additions, the total number of sound effects has increased to 132,700 tracks. Through (http://sound.hkapa.edu), users can retrieve and download selected sound effects and production music. However due to licensing agreement, access is only possible within the Academy including the Bethanie campus.

Many More Sound Effects

Over 108,000 sound effects (equivalent to over 500 CDs) have been added to the Sound Retrieval System with the purchase of the Sound Ideas Ultimate SFX Collection. Through http://sound.hkapa.edu, users can easily search and retrieve selected sound effects and/or production music from anywhere within the Academy including the Bethanie Campus.
