E-Play Collection

The HKAPA Libraries provide access to over 7,800 e-plays in English and Chinese.
All titles are web-based and can be accessed anywhere through the Internet.

LCD Panel

The LCD Panel in the Academy Library has been upgraded to a 27″ iMac.
 

Discontinued Electronic Title

In view of fund re-allocation, subscription to Film & Television Literature Index with Full-Text is discontinued with immediate effect.

Opening Hours following the Open Day

Please note that the opening hours of the Academy Library and the Film and Television Library on 15 Mar 2010 will be as follows:

Academy Library	9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Film and Television Library	2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Learning Resources Room and the Learning Resources Area of the Film and Television Library will remain open outside Library opening hours until 11:30 p.m.

Music Index Online

Music Index Online is now accessible via EBSCOhost.  The old platform will be obsolete from March 2010.

Extra Blu-ray Player in Learning Resources Room

An extra blu-ray player has been installed at carrel No. 14 in the Learning Resources Room.  There are altogether 4 blu-ray players, 3 in the Learning Resources Room and 1 in the Seminar Room.

Opening Hours for Chinese New Year Non-teaching Period

Both the Academy Library and the FTV Library will resume non-teaching period opening hours from 13 February to 28 February, 2010. Detailed opening hours of the libraries can be viewed at the Library Webpage. As usual, the Learning Resources Room and the Learning Resources Area of the FTV Library will remain open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  Please be reminded that the Music Library will remain closed during non-teaching period, enquiry can be made to the Academy Library.

Automatic Hand Sanitizers

Thanks to the prompt action of the Estates Department, hand sanitizer stations have been installed near the entrances to the Academy Library, Learning Resources Room and the FTV Library. This measure should help to maintain a hygienic environment in the Libraries.

Users’ Suggestion and Feedback

One of the students pointed out to the library staff on duty that when the Modify search was clicked, the previous search disappeared and had to be re-entered. With this feedback, the system staff fixed the problem which was previously un-noticed. A Big thank you to that student who will not be named.
